What is gank rogue

I love it. Assassination is pretty good for ganking. I was Sub spec until recently, then switched to Assassin. Sub was good for initial burst, but i found myself getting weaker in longer fights. What a great topic! I Wish sub was a bit better tho. We can dream! Best rogue spec for ganking? Classes Rogue. Many thanks in advance. But here comes the I am so successful story. Happy to prove your point my dear.

You would be surprise my beardy boi and where do i look salty, if i may ask. If you think wpvp is a joke, then why you are in a rp server that is known for his wpvp? Common sense but get Assassin Buff quick it will help a lot. After watching this video im glad that i was wrong.

You must have never run into me then. I attacked a group of four people because I thought I could get one of them for sure. I didn't. Hands down the most fun of rogue world PvP is stalking and taking down one from a group then disappearing only to put down another moments later. Im playing a Rogue and this sounds Really fun. I never start fights because I dont want to annoy other people but this I could live with. Do any of you know a good guide on Rogue PvP? Im new to WoW pretty much. Should I Kidneyshot instead of Evisc?

Allies on kurinnaxx run like 6 deep so im almost always outnumbered its great for improving my gank game. Technically, the druid started it with a moonfire. Rogue was just stealthing around him. Seeing as she didn't even do an opener it might actually not have been a gank attempt. Also, put some points into improved entangling roots in the balance tree.

It will make the normal cast not be interruptable from damage. He went to the trouble of having dual fierys at level 31, that's some messed up priorities if he didn't get the skills he unlocked over a level ago. Just yesterday I killed a 51 hunter in the swamp of sorrows as a 45 spriest.

He had just killed another 51 hunter and remained at full HP so he must've felt pretty cocky going after me peacefully collecting artifacts. Yup, always fight back.

A mage 4 higher than my holy priest tried to gank me while I was fishing. They tried again after running back to their corpse. Dude opens on me with typical plague and swp, I blow my load and viper sting but its not quite enough. Pet is dead I'm down to auto shot only.

He mcs me and runs me into range of fear, fears me and bandages, gets just enough mana to put swp on me again and wands me down. Every had a humanoid mob run at low health and pull a camp or pack or pat that was about to make your day a lot more difficult?

Efficiency is not my minigame of choice, so I don't know why people skip learning skills anyway. More often than not they are going to end up being of some use to you at some point leveling. Does the 35s training early skill ranks set you back further towards getting epic ground mount than dying because you pulled too much shit does? Idk and don't really care personally but apparently there are a ton of people that do, to the point of not taking flights from FPs in contested areas and not training skills.

We all seem to play about the same amount of time too but again, efficiency isn't my minigame Something about the shimmering flats brings out these bad rogue gankers. The other day I was turning in my quests when I got opened on. This rogue proceeded to just feebly chase after me while slowed. Probably because it's one if the first places you'll meet the opposing faction outside of STV and drive by ganks - thus people haven't really PVPed before getting there.

Exactly, I was lucky that he seemed to forget about most of his kit! May have been a very different fight! Still felt good though. You have to cast it preemptively but it does remove blind if you get blinded in the 8 seconds after you get the buff on you.

It does happen a lot. It's too bad that druids weren't fixed until TBC. Definitely a class with so much potential in Vanilla. It was all about stacking int and spell crit gear. Of course! Words like ambush, pounce, murder, and duel have all been struck from the dictionary.

Because of that, the abbreviated term for "gang kill" shall be used any time a player from the enemy faction tries to kill you. It's okay, language evolves over time and gank doesn't necessarily only mean "gang kill" any more. A gank is a surprise attack. The rogue attempted to begin the encounter by stealthing to his target, so it's a poor attempt at a gank. This was an excellent example of how to play a druid. I'm gonna save this and use it as a reference for the new druids asking how to handle ganks and low level pvp.

Great use of multiple forms and the whole druid kit. I have been telling people over and over, you have to use everything.

Heals, dmg spells, bear form, and most importantly travel form. You cant just out rogue a rogue while in cat form. Thanks man! That's what I've really been trying to practice, quite hard to master using the right ability in the right situation. But feels so cool when you do it right. Something I always did was to play reactionary but with preset plans and ideas.

Basically every class has tools and cds to either close the gap and stick to you or to escape and try to kite. As a druid you have answers to anything any class can do so just acted accordingly. If a hunter or mage used a cd to get some space from me then I would use that opportunity to put some hots on and cast some spells.

If a warrior charges me then I get into bear from and tank it out until my dots and hots are done. I found it easier to just answer everything they did instead of trying to force the fight in my direction.

That and there isnt much most classes can do against a druid with hots on,just running in circles in travel form to wait for health and mana lol. Very true, it's the play style I'm going for and have been practicing as I level. I suppose you only suffer as a druid if you try to win the fight too early and end up running oom. You need to react and mitigate the other players preferred strategy first. Yeah with a druid you win the war of attrition.

Everyone does more damage than you so you cant burst anyone down. But other classes have a lot of down time or dead zones. As a druid you can consistently put out small dmg from any range. Remember if you are playing against priests or shamans that throwing rank 1 rejuv and moonfires can get them to waste mana and time dispelling.

It can be worth it to spam rank 1 moonfire while running around to get a crit for natures blessing so you can cast a quick entangling roots too. Yep, key Warsong Gultch anti-flag carrier strategy here. I mean, months from now when it becomes relevant. Druids are really good.

It just seems that not many knew how to play one back many years ago. They're really good healers, tanks and dpsers.

Like, sure, they're not as good as other classes. But those other classes are designed to do one role. They are competent healer, can tank and offtank pretty much everything and even the "oomkin" can reach extremely high amount of damage if the fight doesn't last too long.

Yup, druids can be unkillable because they are reactionary and have the tools to back the play style up I think that under strict variables like a duel, with no consumables or outside help, I dont think anyone could beat a great druid in a duel. Certain classes would be terrible to duel like sacrifice locks. And winning the duel wouldnt be flashy.

It might take forever and involve two innervate cds. But eventually a druid can win any duel. Oh yeah that's mostly what I was getting at, 1v1s but they will definitely have trouble with a few casters I think although still a PITA to kill. In "real PvP" in classic like BGs they are more niche. A lot of new players are struggling with druid in general. And it isnt new really for people to struggle with druid pvp that doesnt involve just running away.

Most new druid players are reading guides and playing almost entirely in cat form. So when they try to fight someone they think since they are cat focused they should only use cat abilities. Most new druids just need to learn to utilize more of their kit and this clip is a great example of that. I am leveling a Druid this time around played lock and rogue through BC and I am slowly learning this.

When I pull mobs at a time, I find myself having to switch forms to be able to fight it out. I realize that can definitely help in a pvp fight as well prolonging the battle and healing as best as I can.

Rogue vs druid heavily favors rogue if the Druid gets opened on in caster form. Every other scenario favors druid, but OP should have lost if the rogue had opened with cheap shot and wasn't garbage. That goes other way around too.

Druid is super fun and has a lot of depth in pvp. I don't understand why people consider druid an "underdog" in pvp. Keep in mind that what may anger you in a fight depends heavily upon the class that you play. A Warlock may detest being stunned or kicked, but fail to realize that a Rogue loathes being Deathcoiled out of stealth just as much, since stealth is as major component in most Rogues' PvP playstyles as fear is in a Warlock's.

To this effect, a Rogue or any class for that matter may expect you to cast certain abilities or play in a certain style based on your emotions. An angry hunter might immediately activate The Beast Within or line up for an Aimed Shot, the latter being vulnerable to a long cast time. An angry paladin may blow Divine Protection and Hammer of Justice at the same, leaving them vulnerable to heal interrupts and Evasion after the effects have worn off, and so on. Some people will find themselves being camped for an inordinate amount of time, or in some manner of perceived injustice.

The victims often post threads on the offical Blizzard forums, detailing the encounter; the core question often being "Why me? And why in excess? Players on a PvP server should expect to be killed at any time. Playing on a PvP server entails that most leveling spots will leave you flagged and open to combat.

Choosing the most heavily populated areas, such as Stranglethorn Vale and the Western Plaguelands, will almost certainly result in someone higher level killing you.

A player who creates and levels a Rogue on a PvP server mostly like does so for a reason: they wish to kill the opposite faction at any time they please. Isolated low-level players should especially be wary. Post away!
